Kitty Belle Sheets, 87, of Paintsville, died Tuesday, Aug. 20,
at Mountain Manor Nursing Home, Paintsville.
Born Dec. 21, 1914, in Johnson County, a daughter of the late
Milton B. and Genoah Murphy Witten, she was co-owner of Sheets
Service Station and a member of Paintsville Garden Club and the
First Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Sheets; and a
brother, Herbert F. Witten.
Survivors include a son, Dr. Paul M. Sheets of River; a brother,
Fred E. Witten of Minford, Ohio; a sister, Barbara Witten
Preston of Miamisburg, Ohio; three grandchildren; and six great-
grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Terry Jones Thursday,
Aug. 22, at Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel, Paintsville.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Staffordsville,
under direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
