MAY SHERMAN
1891-1979
May Sherman, 87, died Saturday, Feb 24, in Riverview Manor Nursing Home,
Prestonsburg, after an extended illness.
Mrs. Sherman was born Nov 17, 1891, in Johnson County, daughter of H.C.H.
and Katherine Rice Conley.
She was a resident of Paintsville, a member of the First Christian Church
and D.A.R. Her husband, Fred Sherman preceded her in death March 29, 1969.
Surviving is a son, Clarence Frederick "Bake" Sherman of Winter Park, FL.
Special D.A.R. services were held Sunday night, Feb 25, at Jones-Preston
Home Chapel and funeral services were held Monday, February 26, with Cecil
Sherman and Terry Jones officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville with Jones-Preston
Funeral Home handling arrangements.
