MISSOURI SIMPSON

Missouri Helton Simpson, 84, of Paintsville died Sunday, February 18 in the
Paintsville Hospital following an extended illness. She was affiliated with
the Freewill Baptist Church.
She was the daughter of the late Douglas and Saviller Maggard Helton.
Immediate survivors include four sons, Charlie Simpson of Ulysses, Walter
Simpson of Offutt, Roy Simpson of Willard, and Norman Simpson of Ypsilanti,
MI, one daughter, Mable Duty of Meally, two brothers, Norman Helton of
Willard and Watt Helton of Phoenix, AZ, and two sisters, Bessie Maggard of
Ashland and Nancy Penix of Grayson.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Don Fraley, Irvin Castle, and Sam
Wilcox on Wednesday, February 21 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Jones-
Preston Funeral Home.
Burial followed in the Highland Memorial Gardens at Grayson under direction
of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
