ROY R. SIMPSON
1948-1979
Roy R. (Buddy) Simpson, 31, died Tuesday, July 31, in Jenkins Clinic
Hospital, as the result of an automobile accident.
Mr. Simpson was born June 21, 1948 in Johnson County, and was a resident of
Staffordsville. He was a member of the Freewill Baptist church and was
employed as a welder for Adams Construction Company.
Surviving are his parents, Roy and Francis Dawson Simpson; his wife, Donna
Ratliff Simpson, a daughter, Rowena Denise Simpson; and two sisters,
Ernestine Payne, Ypsilanti, MI and Mary Rose Fitch, Springfield, OH.
Funeral services were held Friday, Aug 3, in Rockhouse Freewill Baptist
Church with Richard Williams and Irvin Castle officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial park, Staffordsville, with Jones- Preston
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
