Funeral services for Elmer Slone were held Friday, April 24, in Paintsville
Funeral Home chapel. Mr. Slone died Tuesday, April 21, in Louisa Community
Hospital following an extended illness.
 
Born January 20, 1920 in Knott County, he was the son of Travis and Jane
Slone and was a resident of Volga and a retired coal miner.
 
Surviving are his mother, Jane Slone; his wife, Mary Louise Ramey Slone;
four brothers, Harold Slone, Ashland, Charles Slone, Crestline, OH, Onio and
Carl Slone, Shelby, OH; and two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Tooker and Mrs. Willa
Dean Mollett, Shelby.
 
Rev. Tommy Reynolds officiated at services with burial following in Highland
Memorial Park at Staffordsville. Paintsville Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements.
