Judith M. Slone, 64, of Hager Hill, died Saturday, June 26, at her
residence.
  
Born April 16, 1946, at Paintsville, she was the daughter of the late
Sam and Jewell Long Rice. She was a teacher.
  
She was also preceded in death by her husband, William D. Slone, in
2009.
  
Survivors include her son, William Ryan Slone of Carleton, Ga.; a
daughter, Lea Souther of Hager Hill; a brother, Sam Rice of Carlisle,
Pa.; and two grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were Tuesday, June 29, at Paintsville Funeral Home
Chapel, with Robert Coppings officiating.
  
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction
of Paintsville Funeral Home, Paintsville.
