FREDA MAY SMALLWOOD
1925-2005
Freda May Smallwood, 80, went to be with the Lord on June 7, 2005.
Born January 20, 1925 in Paintsville, Kentucky.
Freda, having retired from Atlas Linen was preceded in death by her
husband Milfred Smallwood and her mother Vincie Sanford.
A loving person and a pillar of strength to her family and friends,
Freda will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Her days were
filled with kind deeds, always helping somebody. Freda enjoyed bingo
and would take friends with her to bingo or give them a ride home.
Freda had a special place in her heart for everyone she met. Her old
friends were her gold and her new friends were her silver. Freda`s
beautiful yard, so full of flowers was a source of pride to her and
the neighborhood. Freda`s extensive bear collection made her house a
pleasant place to visit for coffee and cake.
Friends may call Thursday 4 to 7 p.m. Evans Funeral Home, 4171 E.
Livingston Ave.
Freda will be put to rest next to her mother following a service
Friday 1 p.m. at the chapel in Highland Memorial Cemetery,
Staffordsville, Kentucky, Johnson Co.,Ky.
