CHARLES DOUGLAS SMITH

Charles Douglas Smith, 58, died Thursday, July 14, at his East Point home.
  
He was born October 22, 1918, in Springfield, TN, the son of Hershell and
Deva Traywick Smith.
   
Surviving are his wife, Ambie Akers Smith; three sons, Greg, Alfred and
Claude, all of East Point, four brothers, Hershel, Everett, Alfred, and
Landon, all of Springfield, TN; a sister, Lena Ellis of Springfield, TN
and five grandchildren.
   
Funeral services were held Sunday, July 17, in the Lick Fork United
Baptist Church with Paris Music and Lemuel Williams as officiating
ministers.
   
Burial was in the Milom cemetery at East Point with Preston Funeral Home
handling arrangements.
