Billie Jo Soard, 82, of Thelma, died Wednesday, June 1, at J.J. Jordan
Geriatric Center, Louisa.
Born Jan. 4, 1929, in Martin County, she was the daughter of the late John
R. and Hattie Wells Lewis. She was a homemaker.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Earnest "Curly" Soard.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry Neil Soard of New Virginia, Iowa, and
Jimmy Soard of Thelma; a daughter, Donna Jill Bishop of Proctorville, Ohio;
and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were Friday, June 2, at Highland Memorial Funeral Chapel,
with Paul Keaton officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction of
Jones- Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
