Chester A. Sparks, 71, died Tuesday, Sep 8 in Avon Park, FL. Mr. Sparks was
born April 30, 1910 in Johnson County, the son of John and Missouri Phillips
Sparks. He was a member of the United Baptist Church.
Surviving are a brother, J. O. Sparks, Thelma and three sisters, Monie Roth
and Maxie Stodghill, Placid Lake, FL and Alma Neely, Hampton, VA.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Sep 12, in Jones-Preston Funeral Home
Chapel with Buell Ferguson, J. T. Bailey and Charles Price officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, with Jones-Preston
Funeral Home handling arrangements.
