BERT SPEARS
1914-1976
Bert Spears, 61, died Thursday, May 27, at his West Van Lear home. He was
born in Johnson County, on July 4, 1914 and was the son of Walter and Fannie
Goble Spears.
Surviving are his wife, Sarah Anna Lafferty Spears; two sons, Alfred of
South Point, OH, and Roy Rogers of Ashland; four daughters, Dimple Ruth
Lemaster of Sitka; Marble Spears of Ashland, Bonnie Lee of Jackson and Wanda
Carol Enyard of South Point; three brothers and a sister, Earl of West Van
Lear, Leland of Coal Grove, OH, Frank of Ft. Wayne, IN, and Ollie Crum of
Coal Grove.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 29, in the Jones-Preston Funeral
Home with Rev. Bruce Daniels officiating.
Burial was in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville with Jones-
Preston Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
