Charles Edward Spears, 80, of Hager Hill, died Thursday,
March 1 2007 at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, W.Va.
Born Nov. 20, 1926, in Johnson County, he was a son of the
late Marcus and Ida Spears. He was a yard master with CSX
Railroad, active in Van Lear Historical Society, and a
veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Billie Marie Poole Spears of
Hager Hill; and two sisters, Emogene Spears of Hager Hill,
and Irene Spears Yates of Maryland.
Funeral services were Monday, March 5, at Highland Memorial
Funeral Chapel, Staffordsville, with Toby Johnson
officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under
direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
