Donald Lee Spears, 73, of Paintsville, died Wednesday, Jan. 6, at his
residence.
Born Dec. 17, 1936, in Floyd County, he was the son of the late Shirley and
Nola Moore Spears.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Spears; and a sister,
Sandra Jane Spears.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Elkins Spears of Paintsville; two sons,
David Spears of Mantua, Ohio, and Mike Spears of Paintsville; a daughter,
Teresa Fitch of Meally; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were Sunday, Jan. 10, at Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel,
with Paul Wayne Browning and Hubert Slone officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction of
Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
