CHALMER SPRADLIN
1894-1980
Chalmer Spradlin, 86, died Saturday, June 28, at his West Van Lear
residence. Mr. Spradlin was born April 11, 1894, in Johnson County, the son
of Hamilton and Martha Lemaster Spradlin.
He was a resident of West Van Lear, a retired miner and member of the United
Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Zora Johnson Spradlin, 3 sons, Kennis Spradlin, of
West Van Lear, Kermit Spradlin, Paintsville, and Quentin Spradlin, Hager
Hill; 4 daughters, Aralie Whittaker, West Van Lear, Janet Fyffe, Colorado
Springs, Co., Ruth Ward, Tucson, AZ., and Wilma Jean Butcher, Springfield,
OH; and 32 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 1, in Jones-Preston Funeral Home
Chapel with Elders Florida Lyons and Ervin Preston officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville with Jones-Preston
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
