 KERMIT SPRADLIN
1914-1987

 
Paintsville resident, Kermit Spradlin, 72, died Wednesday, March 25 in
Central Baptist Hospital.
 
Mr. Spradlin was born July 9, 1914 in Johnson County, the son of Chalmer and
Zora Johnson Spradlin. He was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church and a
retired miner.
 
Surviving are his mother, his wife, Effie Davis Spradlin; one son, Roger
Dean Spradlin, of Enon, OH; one daughter, Leta Jo Spradlin of Paintsville;
two brothers, Kenis Spradlin of West Van Lear, and Quentin Spradlin of Hager
Hill; four sisters, Arlie Whitaker, Janet Fyffe, and Ruth Sparks, all of
West Van Lear, and Wilma Jean Butcher of Springfield, OH; and three
grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
 
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 28 in Oil Springs Freewill
Baptist church with Justin Harmon and Bill Campbell officiating.
 
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville with Jones-Preston
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
