EDITH STAFFORD
1907-1993
Retired postmistress, Edith Connelley Stafford, 86, died Tuesday, March 30
in Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Stafford was born February 7, 1907 in Johnson County, the son of the
late Dr. Walter C. Connelley and Virginia Vencil Connelley.
She was a member of the Oil Springs Methodist Church. She was preceded in
death by her husband, Charlie Stafford, in 1965.
Surviving are one son, Charles M. Stafford of Wilmington, OH; one daughter,
Mary Stafford Radcliff of Paintsville; three brothers, Pitt, William and
Marcus Connelley, all of Salyersville; three sisters, Candace Lacy and
Theada Watkins, both of Salyersville and Louise Conley of Big Rapids, MI and
two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 2 in Jones- Preston Funeral Home
Chapel with C. P. Compton and Wayne Sparks officiating.
Burial was in Stafford Family Cemetery at Oil Springs.
