GEORGE STAMBAUGH
1936-2011

George Stambaugh, 75, of East Point, died Tuesday, July 19, at St. Joseph
Hospital-Lexington.
Born May 26, 1936, in Johnson County, he was the son of the late William
Hoard Taft and Augus Preston Stambaugh. He was a machinist with National
Cash Register.
Survivors include his wife, Adaline "Addie" Webb Stambaugh; a son, George
Stambaugh II of East Point; a daughter, Georgia Jane Hall of Banner; two
brothers, Roger Stambaugh of Indiana and David Stambaugh of Tennessee; three
sisters, Jane Horne of Ashland, Sara Conley of Wilmington, Ohio, and Willa
Kuhns of North Carolina; and a grandchild.
Funeral services were Saturday, July 23, at Jones-Preston Funeral Home
Chapel, with Wes Stedtefeld officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction of
Jones- Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
