HEBER STAMBAUGH
1911-1980
Heber Stambaugh, 68, died Sunday, May 4, in Highlands Regional Medical
Center.
Mr. Stambaugh was born August 28, 1911, in Johnson County, the son of Norris
and Malta Caudill Stambaugh. He was a resident of Wittensville, a member of
the Freewill Baptist Church and Chandlersville Masonic Lodge 858.
Surviving are his wife, Sophia Daniels Stambaugh; 4 sons, Harold of Logan,
OH, Cordell of Donaldsville, OH, Alvis Lee of Paramount, Ca, and Herschell
of Hager Hill; a daughter, Elwanda Patrick of Wittensville; 3 sisters, Esta
Brown of Paintsville, Unis Hinkle of Richardson, KY, and Gladys Hughes of
Florida; a half sister, Velma Blanton, 16 grandchildren; 6 great
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 2, in Jones- Preston Funeral Home
Chapel with Revs. C. C. Hall, M. T. Womack, J. K. Caudill, and G. E. Castle
officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville with Jones-Preston
Funeral Home handling arrangements.
