Ruth Fraley Stambaugh, 88, of Paintsville, died Saturday, July 24, at
Paul B. Hall Medical Center, Paintsville.
   
Born Jan. 20, 1922, in Johnson County, she was the daughter of the late
Palmer Phelps and Thelma Picklesimer. She was an L.P.N.
  
She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Stambaugh; and a
son, Paul Ray Fraley.
  
Survivors include a son, Delmar Fraley of Ashland; a daughter, Sandra
Music of Staffordsville; two sisters, Glenna Music of Van Lear and
Bertha Fox of Florida; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-
grandchildren.
  
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 29, at Phelps and Son
Funeral Home Chapel.
  
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville.
  
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Thursday prior to the service, under
direction of Phelps and Son Funeral Home, Hager Hill.
