Roberta Vanhoose Stanley, 76, of Paintsville, died Monday, May 10, at
Salyersville Health Care Center, Salyersville.
Born April 4, 1934, in Johnson County, she was the daughter of the late Joe
C. and Flossie Wilcox Vanhoose. She was a homemaker and a member of the
First Freewill Baptist Church.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Stanley.
Survivors include a son, Frank E. Stanley of Paintsville; three daughters,
Karen Sue Stanley of Staffordsville, Rhonda Carol Hill of Paintsville and
Carmia Flossie Hall of Morehead; a brother, Willard "Red" Vanhoose of
Paintsville; a sister, Judy James of Columbus, Ohio; four grandchildren; and
five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Thursday, May 13, at Jones-Preston Funeral Home
Chapel, with Roger Hill officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction of
Jones- Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
