Herbert Joseph Stapleton, Jr., 67, of Staffordsville,
died Monday, Oct. 7, at his residence.
Born Aug. 6, 1946, at Logan, W.Va., he was the son of Minnie Osborn
Stapleton of Lexington and the late Herbert Joseph Stapleton. He was an
electrical engineer.
Additional survivors include his wife, Carol Mace Stapleton; two sons,
Herbert J. Stapleton III, of Bridgeport, W.Va., and Christopher Alvin
Stapleton of Nashville, Tenn.; a daughter, Melanie Brooke Stapleton of
Lexington; a brother, Thomas Stapleton of Canada; two sisters, Janet Mays
and Sue Potter, both of Lexington; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were Friday, Oct. 11, at Jones-Preston Funeral Home
Chapel, with Tobe Wheeler and Youel Altizer officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction of
Jones- Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
