Jones-Preston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Alvie
Delorn Stephens, 86.
Mr. Stephens was born May 28, 1907 in Geneva County in Alabama, son
of the late James Martin and Mattie Stephens.
He was retired from Ford Motor Company and was a member of the Third
Street Freewill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by one stepson, Bill Ratliff.
Surviving are his wife, Hilda Ratliff Stephens; three sons, Johnnie
Stephens of Columbus, Geogia; J.D. Stephens of Detroit, Michigan; and
Larry Stephens of Ozark, Alabama; one stepson, John Ratliff of
Paintsville; three daughters, Myrl Riley, Martha Thompson and Sharon
McNeil, all of Ozark, Alabama; three stepdaughters, Jean Simpson of
Florida; Virginia 0'Brian of Columbus, Ohio and Sue Jack: of
Paintsville; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February, 13 in Jones-Preston
Funeral Home Chapel, with Larry Blair and John Frank Ratliff
officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
