GENE STEWART
1925-2005
Gene Stewart, 79, of Van Lear, died Monday, April 21, at Highlands
Regional Medical Center.
Born Aug. 10, 1925, in Fleming County, he was a son of the late Carl
Russell and Theadosia Ray Stewart.
He was a retired civil engineer, a Mason, Shriner and member of First
Freewill Baptist Church of Paintsville.
Survivors include his wife, Ilene Calhoun Stewart; a son, Jason
Stewart of Van Lear; a daughter, Beth Lemaster of Paintsville; and
three grandchildren.
Funeral services were Thursday, April 21, at First Freewill Baptist
Church, Paintsville, with Larry Blair and James O. Vanhoose
officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction
of Phelps and Son Funeral Home.
