WALTER HENRY STROBEL
1920-1993
Funeral services were held Sunday, March 21 for Walter Henry Strobel, 72,
who died Thursday, March 18 in Highlands Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Strobel was born November 14, 1920 in Evansville, IN, the son of the
late Walter and Hortence Strobel.
He w3as a retired electrician from Mapco Coal Company and was a member of
the Independent Order of Odd Fellow Lodge #288.
Surviving are his wife, Elsie Strobel; one son, Gary Strobel of Paintsville;
one daughter, Marcella Clark of Manito; one stepdaughter, Rebecca Tuft of
Prestonsburg; one brother, Clarence Strobel of Indianapolis, IN; two
sisters, Dodie Richard of Providence, KY, and Emma Siemantee of
Indianapolis, IN; and nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Officiating at services in Mayo Memorial United Methodist Church were Revs.
William Pollack and Jerry Castle.
Burial was in Highland Memorial park at Staffordsville with Bryan Fraley &
Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
