SERVICES HELD FOR "SON' STURGILL January 31.
Harry B. Sturgill, better known as "Son", died at the home of his
son, Robert Sturgill, Flat Gap, January 29,1966, Saturday morning.
The son of the late James and Lettie Brown Sturgill, he was born
September 10, 1905.
A life long resident of Flat Gap, he was a farmer and a former
operator of the Sturgill Bus line.
He was married to Hazel Picklesimer Sturgill, who survives.
Also surviving are, a daughter Mrs. Betty Rae Estep of Germantown,
Ohio; a son, Robert Sturgill of Flat Gap; three grandchildren a
brother, Herbert Sturgill of Louisa; and three sisters, Mrs. Julia
Vaughn of Ashland, Mrs. Maude Thomas and Mrs. Lou Phillips of Flat
Gap.
Services were held January 31, 11:00 a.m. at the Jones Preston
Funeral Home with Ellis Hamilton and Lonza Reed officiating.
Interment was held In the Highland Memorial Park Cemetery at
Staffordsville with Jones Preston Funeral Home in charge.
