JANE SUBLETT
1887-1968
Sublett Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 13 for Mrs. Jane Sublett,
81, who passed away on Saturday, August 10 in a local nursing home after an
extended illness.
W. L. Ford and Milt Blankenship officiated at the services held in the Sitka
Church of Christ. Her grandsons served as pallbearers.
Burial under the direction of the Preston Funeral Home, was held in the
Sublett Cemetery at Sitka.
Born at Volga on April 8, 1887, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and
Catherine Brown Osborne. She had been a resident of Sitka for the past
seventy years and was affiliated with the Church of Christ.
Her husband, Dallas Sublett, preceded her in death on March 14, 1953.
Survivors include four sons, Walter of Ashland, Hobart of Lima, OH, James T.
of Sitka and Wilburn of Marion, OH; four daughters, Leliah Wheeler and Neva
Rothwell of Ashland and Dorothy Wyatt and Billie Rene Meade of Sitka; 25
grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren. Additional survivors include two
brothers, William Osborne of Ashland, and Johnny Osborne of Elm Creek, NE.
