Philipp C. Airey, 27, of Dorsey, MD, died Saturday, April 26. Mr. Airey
was born March 14, 1948 in Baltimore, MD, the son of Lewis and Agnus
Williams Airey and was a veteran of the U.S.A.F. Surviving in addition
to his parents are two sons, Philipp C. Airey, Jr. and Matt Allen
Airey, both of Dorsey, MD and one brother, Don Airey, also of Dorsey.
Mr. Airey is the grandson of Tom and Alice Lemaster Williams of
Barnetts Creek. Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, April
30, in the chapel of the Paintsville Funeral Home under the direction
of the Reverends Lonza Reed and Eual McKenzie. Burial will follow in

AKERS, Ida (Whitaker)
1894-1975
Mrs. Ida Whitaker Akers, 81, of East Point, died at her home Wednesday,
April 9. The daughter of the late Martin and Angaline Yates Whitaker,
she was born November 27, 1894. Mrs. Akers was a member of the Bonanza
United Baptist Church and had been preceded in death by her husband,
Robert Whitaker. Surviving are one son, John Akers, of Orlando, FL;
four daughters, Edna Milam, Ambie Smith and Lucy Carpenter, all of East
Point, and Josephine Gibson of Deedsville, IN; one sister, Sadie
Whitaker of East Point, 26 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Akers were held April 12 in the Lick Fork
United Baptist Church with Elders Paris, Music, Richard Sheppard and
Lemuel Williams officiating. Burial was in the Akers Family cemetery at
East Point with arrangements under the direction of the Preston Funeral

BELCHER, James Jr.
1919-1975
James Belcher, Jr., 56, died Saturday, April 5 at his home following an
extended illness. A resident of West Van Lear, Mr. Belcher was born
October 2, 1919, the son of Mrs. Ollie Hyden Belcher and the late James
Newton Belcher. Surviving, in addition to his mother, are four
brothers, Thomas Belcher, Fort Gay, WV, Lonnie Belcher, Irid, IN, Bill
Belcher, West Van Lear, and Harry, West Germany, Funeral services were
held Monday, April 7 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of the
Jones-Preston Funeral Home under the direction of the Rev. Johnnie
Sammons with burial following at the Cumbo Cemetery at West Van Lear.

BOWLING, Amos
1900-1975
Amos Bowling, 74, died Saturday, March 29, following an extended
illness. The son of the late Bailey and Sylvia Cantrell Bowling, he was
born November 4, 1900. He was a retired miner and member of the Church
of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Bowling on
January 17, 1973. Surviving are two sons, Danny Bowling of
Staffordsville, and Harold Bowling of Emenince; five daughters, Ruth
Frazier of Rockwood, MI, Libby Gilley and Betty Hamilton of Cincinnati,
OH, Carol Arthur of George Town, KY and Linda Bowling of Paintsville;
two brothers, Manns Bowling of Floyd County and Jim Bowling of Van
Lear; one sister, Rissie Ellen Dawson of Van Lear and 15 grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Bowling were held Tuesday, April 1, in the
Chapel of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home with Reverend Frank Webb
officiating. Burial was in the Highland Memorial Park at

Dolen Branham, 64, died suddenly Tuesday, April 22 in Step-Town, WV.
Born in Johnson County, June 10, 1910, the son of Fred and Doucie
Collins Branham. Mr. Branham was a self employed merchant. Surviving in
addition to his parents are his wife, Garnet Meade Branham,
Paintsville, a son, Charles Dolen Branham, Richmond, three brothers,
William Branham, Ashland, Fred Branham, Jr., Alaska, and E. b. Branham
of North Carolina; seven sisters, Geneva Cooke, Proctorville, OH, Lena
Wright, Ashland, Malta Kirk, Ashland, Iva Pidcock, Duluth, Minn., Reva
Tweet, Michigan, Elvina Miller, Paducah, KY, and Elizabeth Patrick, Mt.
Sterling. Five grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were held
at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 24 in the Chapel of the Jones-Preston Funeral
Home under the direction of the Rev. Charles Milam. Burial followed at
Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville with C. J. Sparks, Lloyd
Hamilton, Earl Meeks, Arnold Meade, Douglas Meade, Kenneth Meade,
Orville Meade, Bob Meade, W. R. Meade, Jr., and Russell Meade serving

BROWN, Rosa (Castle)
1891-1975
Rosa Brown, widow of the late Lewis Brown, died April 10 at her
Lowmansville home at the age of 84. Born February 2, 1891, Mrs.
Brown was the daughter of the late Robert and Martha Borders Castle.
Surviving are a son, Gilbert Brown of Columbus, a step-son Bill Brown
of Tutor Key; two daughters, Blanch Brown and Lillie Mae Brown, both of
Lowmansville; two step-daughters, Gussie Akers of Tutor Key and Beulah
Conley of Lowmansville; six grandchildren and a sister Martha Blevins
of Louisa. Funeral services for Mrs. Brown held April 13 in the
George's Creek United Baptist Church at Lowmansville where she was a
member. Reverends Nim Sturgill and Florida Lyons officiated. Burial was
in the Brown Cemetery at Lowmansville. Pallbearers were Marcus Castle,
Harkless Slone, Harmon Burton, Virgil Stegner, Curtis Castle and Otis

BURCHETT, Theodore
1915-1975
Theodore (Ted) Burchett, 60, former heavy equipment operator, died
Monday, April 7, 1975, at his home in Stambaugh. The son of Noah and
Mary E. Stambaugh Burchett, he was born February 25, 1915 at Van Lear.
He was a member of the Locust Grove United Baptist Church, and a Navy
veteran of World War II. His wife, Sybil Davis Burchett, survives. Also
surviving are six sons and two daughters. They include William Lewis
Burchett of Nippa, Freddie Burchett of Sitka, Higgy Paul Burchett,
Kenneth Burchett, Teddy Burchett, Ronnie Burchett, Mrs. Mary Grace
Stewart and Darla Ann Burchett, all of Stambaugh. Two brothers, Jessie
Burchett of Wittensville and Hervey Burchett of Stambaugh, two sisters,
Mimia Stambaugh of Wittensville and Annie Stambaugh of Stambaugh, also
survive, as do 7 grandchildren. Services held Thursday, April 10, at
Locust Grove Baptist Church, with Elders Buell Ferguson, Arnold Reed
and Charles Price officiating. Burial to follow in the family cemetery
at Stambaugh. Preston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

CASTLE, Donna Jean
1952-1975
Miss Donna Jean Castle, 22, died Friday, April 25 at St. Marys Hospital
in Huntington, WV as a result of injuries received in an automobile
accident. Miss Castle was born in Johnson County, July 14, 1952, the
daughter of Raymond and Willa Mae VanHoose Castle, and was employed as
an engineer by WSAZ T.V. in Huntington. Surviving in addition to her
parents are her maternal grandparents, Lincoln and Beulah VanHoose of
Ashville, OH, paternal grandmother, Minnie Castle of Stambaugh, one
brother, Johnny Ray Castle of Lowmansville, one sister, Linda Marlene
Sperger also of Lowmansville, and one nephew, Brian Alan Sperger of
Lowmansville. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 28, at
the Mouth of Rush Freewill Baptist church under the direction of the
Rev. James Kelly Caudill. Burial followed in the Castle Family Cemetery
at Lowmansville. Arrangements were under the direction of the

CHANDLER, Fannie (George)
1885-1975
Mrs. Fannie Chandler, 89, died Saturday, March 29, in a local hospital.
A resident of Lowmansville and a member of the Church of god, Mrs.
Chandler was born September 3, 1885, the daughter of the late Nathan
and Mary Helton George. She was preceded in death by her husband, H. C.
Chandler in 1942. Surviving are a son, Russell Chandler of Paintsville.
Funeral services for Mrs. Chandler were held Tuesday, April 1, in the
First Church of God at Lowmansville with Reverends Scott Griffith and
Tommy Reynolds officiating. Burial was in the family cemetery at

Verna Hannah succumbed to an extended illness on April 10. Born Aug 19,
1892, Mrs. Hannah was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church and the
daughter of the late George and Julia Blair Rivers. Surviving are her
husband, Walter Hannah; two sons, Marvin Hannah and Myron T. Hannah,
both of Leander; two daughters, Adie Spencer of Leander and Shirley
Robinson of Lucasville, OH; a sister, Virgie Hannah of Van Lear; three
brothers, Verlie Rivers of Williamsburg, OH, George Rivers, Jr. of
Paintsville and Hershell Rivers of Leander; 25 grandchildren and 42
great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Hannah were held Sunday,
April 13, in the Collista Freewill Baptist Church with Revs. Herbert
Arms and Steve Branham officiating. burial was in the family cemetery

HERNANDEZ, Mariano
1975
Mariano Hernandez, 49, of Paintsville, died at the Paintsville
Hospital, on Sunday, April 20 after an illness of several weeks. The
son of the late Juan-Manuel Hernandez and Delores Peraza Hernandez, who
survives, he was born in Mexico City, Mexico, he was a member of the
Catholic Church and was employed by Big Sandy Hardware Company. Other
survivors include his wife, Margarette Wells Hernandez, Paintsville,
two sons, Charles and Mariano, Jr., both of Paintsville, three
daughters, Mrs. Walter Salyer, Columbus, OH, Sgt Yolanda Hernandez,
USAF, Okinawa, and Mary Hernandez, Paintsville. He is also survived by
a sister and a brother and three grandchildren. Funeral services were
held Wednesday, April 23, in the St. Michael Catholic Church,
Paintsville, with Father David Shockey officiating. Burial was in the
Wells Cemetery, Paintsville, with arrangements under the direction of

LYONS, Arnold

Funeral services were held Thursday, April 10, 1975 for Arnold "Bill"
Lyons who passed away Tuesday, April 8, 1975, at the age of 68. A
retired employee of C & O Railroad, Mr. Lyons was born Saturday,
April 20, 1907, the son of the late Harry and Allie Price Lyons.
Surviving are his wife, Burndette Lyons; a foster son, Leo F. McCoart
and 4 brothers, Raymond Lyons, George M. Lyons, and Roger Lyons all of
Paintsville and Harry Lyons, Jr. of Raceland. Rev. Don Fraley
officiated the funeral services. Burial was in Highland

Mrs. Bertha G. Maddox, 83, of Louisville, formerly of Floyd County,
died April 19 in a Louisville hospital. Surviving are a son, William L.
(Bill) Wells, of Auxier, two daughters, Mrs. Nancy E. Meade of
Louisville and Mrs. Mary L. Conley of Prestonsburg; two sisters, Mrs.
Meta Thompson of Lexington and Dr. Topsie Whitaker of East Prarie, MO,
15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs.
Maddox were held Monday, April 21, in the Auxier Methodist Church with
burial following in the Wells Family Cemetery at Auxier. Funeral

Addie P. Meade, died Wednesday, April 16, at the age of 92. The
daughter of the late George and Vina Jenkins Meade, she was born Mar
16, 1883, in Johnson County, and was affiliated with the Missionary
Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. R. Meade,
Sr. on June 13, 1971. She is survived by seven sons, Russell, Arnold,
W. R. Meade, Jr., Douglas, James K. and Bobby, all of Paintsville and
Orville Meade of Irvin; four daughters, Hazel Sparks of Paintsville,
Garnett Branham of Paintsville, Mabel Meek of Ashland and Francis
Hamilton of Paintsville. Other survivors include a sister, Mrs. Bruce
Hall of Catlettsburg and a brother, Charles Perry of Ft. Mitchell.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 19, in the First Baptist
Church of Paintsville with Dr. Charles Milam officiating. Burial
followed in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville under the
direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers were

Harold L. Patton, 44, died suddenly Thursday, April 24, as a result of
injuries received in an automobile accident. Mr. Patton was born in
Floyd County on February 28, 1931, the son of T. A. and Lucy Hall
Patton and was a self employed merchant. Surviving in addition to his
parents are his wife, Betty Wells Patton, and two daughters, Pamela
Joyce Richmond of Van Lear and Suzanne Patton of Auxier. Funeral
services were held 2 p.m. Sunday, April 27 at the Auxier Methodist
Church under the direction of the Rev. John Frank Ratliff and Rev.
Floyd Tackett. Burial followed in the Collins Cemetery at Auxier.

William R. Pickelsimer, Jr., died in Riverview Manor at Lucasville, OH,
on Monday, April 21. Born in Johnson County at Barnetts Creek o May 9,
1893, Mr. Pickelsimer was the son of the late William R. Pickelsimer,
Sr., and the stepson of Mrs. Ida Pickelsimer Witten of Thealka. He was
a United Brethren minister and administered in Scioto County, OH for
many years. Immediate survivors are three adopted children, Mrs. Dorris
Lowe and John Pickelsimer of Pendleton, OR, and Vicki Beatty of Dayton,
OH. Also surviving are seven half sisters, Mrs. Prudence Robinson, Mrs.
Pearl Wood, Mrs. Pauline Wood, and Mrs. Pamalee Alexander, all of
Indianapolis, IN, Mrs. Pinky Prater and Mrs. Pansy Patrick of
Paintsville and Mrs. Priscilla Grace Roberts of Bloomingburg, OH, and
three half brothers, Paris Pickelsimer of Waldo, OH, Proctor
Pickelsimer of Brooklyn Park, MD, and Payne Pickelsimer of Dayton.

Mrs. Fannie M. Preston, 67, died in Lincoln Park, MI where she had
lived for several years. A native of Johnson County, she was born
October 27, 1907, the daughter of the late Jeff and Elizabeth Walters
Davis. She was a retired employee of Shadow Proof Glass Co. of
Detroit and a member of the Temple Baptist Church. Surviving are her
husband, Claude C. Preston, six sons, Harold Preston of Lincoln Park,
Paul Preston of St. Clair, MI, John Preston of Frontier, MI, Joe
Preston of Wabash, IN, and Jimmy and Herman Preston of Tampa, FL, 18
grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and a brother, Walter Davis of
Williamsport, KY. Services held March 27 in Michigan with
interment in the Frontier Cemetery in Frontier. The grandsons served as

Glenn F. Preston, 87, died Wednesday, April 2, at the Old Masons Home
in Shelbyville, KY. Born in Johnson County, September 17, 1888, the son
of the late Morrel G. and Ida Thornton Walker Preston, he was
affiliated with the Paintsville Masonic Lodge 381 F & AM. Survivors
include his wife, Bessie Preston of Russell, a son, William E. Preston
of Hollywood, FL; a granddaughter, Laura DeBoard of Flatwoods, a
sister, Gertrude Hudson of Florida, and a brother, Curtis Preston of
Salyersville. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 5 at 1 p.m. in
the chapel of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home under the direction of
Reverend O. M. Miller Burial was in Preston Cemetery in Paintsville.

Mrs. Mary Alice Ross, 93, died Wednesday, April 2, at the home of her
son, following an extended illness. A Blaine resident and a
member of the United Baptist Church, Mrs. Ross was born April 5, 1880
in Lawrence County, daughter of Jessie and Elizabeth Jordon
Cordle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmund Ross,
Sr. in 1954. Surviving are three sons, Dewey Ross of Columbus,
OH, Chilt Ross of Argilite, KY, and Edmund Ross, Jr. of Blaine; four
daughters, Alka Cordle of Columbus, OH, Elsie Fitch of Wilbur, KY, Iva
Magine of Chicago, IL and Jessie Morrison of Columbus, Also
surviving are 29 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren; 5 great-great
grandchildren. Funeral services held Saturday, April 5 at the Old

B.B. Short, 80, Sitka, died Saturday, April 12, following an extended
illness. Born Aug 12, 1894, he was the son of the late Isaac and Nannie
Akers Short. He was a retired coal miner and member of the Church of
Christ. His wife, Elizabeth Witten Short preceded him in death in
1972. Surviving are a son, Bernard Short, Jr. of Sitka; a
daughter, Mrs. Thelma A. Bennett of South Lebanon, OH; 4 grandchildren;
a brother, Heber Short of Fisty, KY; 3 sisters, Mrs. Bertie Deskins and
Mrs. Lucy Barker, both of Gradin, MO and Mrs. Martha Slone of Ironton,
OH. Funeral services for Mr. Short were held Tuesday, April

Mrs. Imo Slone, a 81 year old resident of Winifred, died at the
Paintsville Hospital Friday, April 18 after an illness of several
weeks. The daughter of the late Charlie and Alabama Ramey Gartin, she
was born Mar 10, 1894, in Lawrence County. She was a member of the
United Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie
Slone in 1936. Surviving are two sons, Lloyd of Winifred, and Carman of
Blaine, a daughter, Mrs. Beulah Ferguson, Blaine, a sister, Mrs. Lora
Weaver, Louisa, 23 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Funeral
services were held Monday, April 21 in the Old Hood United Baptist
church with Florida Lyons, Jarrett Cordle, Jesse Cordle, and Edward
Salyer officiating. Burial followed in the Slone Cemetery at Winifred
under the direction of Paintsville Funeral Home. The grandsons served

Mrs. Velma Jewell Smith, died Friday, April 18, at her home at River
after a brief illness. Born at Hager, WV on January 27, 1928, she was
the daughter of Clay Stowers and the late Lena Richmond Stowers.
Surviving are four sons, Kenneth Queen, Lundale, WV, Woodrow Smith,
Jr., U. S. Navy, Robert Smith and David Smith, both of River and four
daughters, Linda Taylor and Wanda Russell, both of Columbus, OH, Judy
Borders, Ft. Knox and Marsheila Smith, River. Other survivors include
two brothers and three sisters, Jack Stowers, Mallory, WV, Charles
Stowers, Amherstdale, WV, Mildred McClung, Lake City, TN, Betty Lusk,
Amherstdale, WV, and Barbra McClung, McConnell, WV. The Jones-Preston
Funeral Home was in charge of funeral services which were held Sunday,
April 20, at the Middle Fork Baptist Church, Sweetland, WV. John

Miss Belva Sparks, died Wednesday, April 16, after a brief illness, in
Port Charlotte, FL. Born in Lawrence Co., Miss Sparks was preceded in
death by her parents, Dr. Henry and Sarah Boggs Sparks. She was a
member of the Methodist Church. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Mollie
Holbrook, Paintsville, and Mrs. Thelma Juergensmeyer, Port Charlotte,
FL, and two nephews, Henry C. Holbrook, Paintsville, and Julian
Juangensmeyer, Port Charlotte, FL. Funeral services for Miss Sparks
were held Saturday, April 19, in the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel
with Rev. Albert Smith officiating. Burial was in Mayo Memorial
Cemetery at Paintsville with arrangements under the direction of the

Margie Stambaugh, the wife of Solomon Stambaugh, died in Ypsilanti, MI,
Saturday, April 12 following a brief illness. Born in Johnson County on
June 21, 1925, Mrs. Stambaugh was the daughter of the late James and
Elizabeth Taylor Ratliff. She was a member of the United Baptist
church. Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, James
Stambaugh of Belleville, MI and Eddie Stambaugh of Ypsilanti, five
grandchildren, a brother, Marvin Ratliff of Raleigh, NC, and two
sisters, Ruby Thacker of Ypsilanti and Fannie Wells of West Van Lear.

Melvin Swain, Sr., 66, died April 4 in a Pikeville hospital following a
short illness. The son of the late William and Mary Penix Swain. Mr.
Swain was born in Johnson County on Aug 18, 1908 and was a retired
miner. Survivors include a wife, Goldie Adkins Swain; two sons, Jerry

three daughters, Betty Hannah of Paintsville, Mary Salisbury of
Pikeville, and Phyllis Swain Swartz of Louisville, two brothers, Irvin
Swain of Tampa, FL; and Russell Swain of Hartville, OH two sisters,
Carrie Conley of West Union, OH and Myrlte DeLong of Suffile, OH and
ten grandchildren. Funeral services were held in the chapel of the
Jones-Preston Funeral Home on Monday, April 7 with the Rev. J. H. Short
officiating. Burial followed in the Old Friendship Memorial Gardens at

TIPTON, William
1901-1975
William Tipton, 73, died at his home at Paintsville, Friday, April 18,
after an extended illness. The son of Marvin and Sally Johnson Tipton
he was born June 15, 1901 and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife, Wanda Carroll Tipton, a son Jimmy of Thealka, a
daughter, Ruth VanHoose of Paintsville, 6 grandchildren and 2 great
grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday, April 20, in the
Chapel of Jones-Preston Funeral Home with Roy Hall officiating. Burial
followed in the Carroll Cemetery at Whitehouse with arrangements under

WARD, Walter P.
1913-1975
Walter P. Ward, a 62 year old resident of River, died at his home
Friday, April 11. The son of the late J. P. and Sada Blevins Ward, he
was born January 13, 1913. Surviving are his wife, Lena Mae Daniel
Ward; 3 sons, Walter Ward, Jr. and William Ward both of Arcanum, OH and
Johnny Ward of Morraine, OH; 2 daughters, Emma Jean Peaco and Linda
Winchester both of Dayton; 3 brothers, Clarence Ward of Trotwood, OH
and Edgel and Rassie Ward; 4 sisters, Rose Kale of Eaton, OH and
Stevanna, Ivel and Dimple the latter three with last names and
addresses unknown. Reverend Michael Carreno officiated at the funeral
services for Mr. Ward, held in the Chapel of the Jones- Preston Funeral
Home on April 14. Burial was in family cemetery at River. Paintsville

Mrs. Mollie Blair Webb died April 7 at her Sitka home following a brief
illness. The daughter of the late Frank H. and Lummie Webb Blair, she
was born February 29, 1904. She is survived by a brother, E. J. Blair
of Gallipolis, OH. Funeral services held April 11 in the Chapel of the
Jones-Preston Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Johnson officiating with
Burial was in the family cemetery at Sitka. Arrangements were under the

WELLS, Nevard
1911-1975
Nevard Wells, a former resident of Johnson County, died April 17, in
Fort Wayne, IN at the age of 63. An employee of Wabash Alloys, Inc. Mr.
Wells had resided in Manchester, IN for the past 12 years. He was born
Sep 17, 1911, the son of the late Walter Wells and Mary Branham Wells.
Surviving are his wife, Edna Mae Webb Wells, whom he married in 1930;
one son, John of Wabash; two daughters, Mrs. |Everett (Barbara)
Branham, of North Manchester and Mrs. Phillip (Donna Sue) Powers, of
Meally; two brothers, Wilbur Wells of Chaplen, WV and Rolland Wells of
Van Lear; one sister, Mrs. Exer Cline of Cordell, KY; 7 grandchildren
and one great grandchild. Funeral services for Mr. Wells were held
Monday, April 21, in the Church of Christ in Wabash with burial
following in the Laketon Cemetery at Wabash. Funeral arrangements under

Mr. Charles M. Williams, age 79, of Dayton, KY died Friday, April 18,
1975. Mr. Williams was a school teacher in the Johnson County school
system before assuming a position with the U. S. Postal Service in
Cincinnati where he served as regional supervisor. He is survived by
his wife, Mary Cochran Williams, of Dayton, KY, one daughter, Mrs.
Edith Tharp of Ft. Thomas, KY, two sons, William of Ft. Thomas and
Robert of Dayton, KY, one sister, Mrs. Emma Frazier of Elna and eight

WOOTEN, Lawton
1903-1975
Lawton Wooton, 71, died Monday, April 14, at his home at Volga after a
brief illness. The son of the late Preston and Sally Campbell Wooton,
he was born in Leslie County on June 19, 1903, and was a member of the
Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Lettie Huff Wooton, six
sons, Arbert of Chino, CA, Edward of Dayton, Homer of Fairborn, Alvis
of Grand Rapids, MI, Robert Paul of Flat Gap. Also surviving are six
daughters, Louetta Sturgill of Flat Gap, Marie Gunter of Santa Clara,
CA, Mable Braunschweiger of Dayton, Celia Salyer of Flat Gap, Mary
Louise Trimble of Louisville; and Terry Jean Wooton of Volga; two
brothers, B. C. Wooton of Frankfort and Dennis Wooton, of Salem, IN,
one sister, Mae Watkins of Confluence, KY; 18 grandchildren and three
great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 16, in
the Chapel of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home with J. W. Halcomb
officiating. Jones-Preston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements
with burial in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
