BILLY RAY ADAMS
1939-1994
West Van Lear resident, Billy Ray Adams, Sr., 54, died Wednesday, June 1.
Mr. Adams was born December 18, 1939, in Johnson County, the son of the late
Smith Adams and Mary Alice Cantrell. He was a school bus driver and veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Emma Jean Blair Adams; one son, Billy Ray Adams,
Jr., of Barbourville; one daughter, Tina Adams of West Van Lear, four
brothers, Charles Adams of Sitka, Cecil and Mance Adams, both of West Van
Lear, and Smith Adams of Brook Park, OH; and one sister, Mollie Worden of
West Carrollton, OH.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 4 at Jones-Preston Funeral Home
Chapel with Dick VanHoose, Isaac Rowland and Pat McDonald officiating.
Burial was in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery at Staffordsville.
