ROSE ANN ADAMS
1891-1962
 

Mrs.Rose Ann Miller Adams resident of this city, died in a 
local hospital at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 9 1962, 
after a brief illness.

The daughter of the late Isaac and Nancy Slone McFaddin, 
she was born in Johnson County January 6 1891, and had 
lived in this city most of her life. She was a member
of the Freewill Baptist Church.

Her first marriage was to Charlie Miller, who preseded her
in death in 1922. She was later married to Hardy Adams 
who also preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Earl Miller of this city; six 
daughters, Mrs. Blanche Hardy, Rock Camp, Ohio, Mrs. Ruby
Price and Miss Frances Miller both of this city; Mrs. 
Josephine Combs, Lexington Ky., Mrs. Mary Wolverton, 
DeKalb,Ill., Miss Victoria Miller of this city; two 
sisters, Mrs. Mary Hicks, Birmington, Ala., Mrs. Alka
Justice, Delbartori, W. Va.; a stepsister, 
Nannie Selvage, Ohio

Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at 
the Third Street Freewill Baptist Church with Claude 
Preston, Walter Hooper and Scott Castle 
officiating ministers.

Music was by the Paintsville Quaret.

Burial was in the Cumbo Cemetery at West Van Lear,
Johnson Co Ky.
