JESSIE ADKINS
1920-1965
Mrs. Jessie Adkins, 45, died at 3:15 p.m., March 19, at the home
of her parents.
Born February 2, 1920, at Boonscamp, she was the daughter of John
and Ida Sparks Crum, West Van Lear. She was a resident of
Detroit, Michigan at the time of her death and had been a resident
there about 16 years.
She was affiliated with the United Baptist Church.
Mrs. Adkins is survived by her husband, Leroy Keith Adkins.
Other survivors are one son, Danny, Belleville, Mich.; one
brother, Leonard Crum, Dayton, two sisters, Cathern Blair, Dayton,
Ohio, and Martha Belcher, West Van Lear, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, March 22, in the Cedar
Grove United Baptist Church with the Revs. Elzie Banks and Buell
Ferguson officiating.
Burial was in the Cumbo Cemetery at West Van Lear under the
direction of the Preston Funeral Home.
