SAMUEL BALDRIDGE
1886-1962

Sam Baldridge, 75, retired miner of West Van Lear, was pronounced
dead on arrival at a local hospital Friday. He had been ill for some
time.

The son of the late Logan and Clarinda Baldridge, he was born in
Floyd County, December 3, 1886.

He had lived in Johnson County for the past thirty years and had been
a resident of West Van Lear for seven years.

He was a member of the Church of God.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lucy Tackett Baldridge; three sons,
Thurman Baldridge, Fairborn, OH; Douglas Baldridge, Springfield, OH;
Otis Baldridge, Akron, OH; three daughters, Mrs. Audrey Pierce of
this city; Mrs. Pauline Salyers and Miss Phyllis Baldridge, Dayton,
OH; a sister, Mrs. Fannie Nicholas, Ironton, OH.

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the Little
Paints Church of God with Rev. Mose Kitchen as officiating minister.

Burial was in the family cemetery at Little Paint.
