Hester Salyer Bayes, 93, of Springfield, Ohio, died Sunday, July 12,
at Community Masonic Home, Springfield.
Born Oct. 18, 1915, in Johnson County, she was the daughter of the
late Ezria and Vernia Blevins Salyer. She was a homemaker.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Bayes, in 1999;
a brother, Everett Salyer; and two sisters, Minnie Blair and Ethel
Woods.
Survivors include a brother, Mitchell Salyer of Catlettsburg; and a
sister, Loretta Vanhoose of Springfield.
Funeral services were Thursday, July 14, at Jones-Preston Funeral
Home Chapel, with Richard Williams officiating.
Burial was in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville, under
direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
