West Van Lear Man Stricken Dec. 20

Dennis D. Blair, 56, died very suddenly at his home in West Van
Lear Saturday evening, December 20 1947.

Mr. Blair was in apparently good health the night before and had
met the evening train on which his daughter, Anne, was arriving to
spend the Christmas Holidays.

Mr. Blair suffered a heart attack and died before a doctor could
be summoned.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mae Blair and five children, Mrs.
Margaret Patterson, Detroit, Michigan, Mrs. Ann Brewer, Newport
News, VA, Dennis V. Blair, Thealka, James and Linda at home.

Also, surviving are three brothers, Lonzo and Lincoln of West Van
Lear and Eskell of Charleston W.Va.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. S.C. Honeycutt atthe
Church of Christ in West Van Lear Tuesday, December 23 at 2:00
p.m.

Burial was in the family lot in the West Van Lear Cemetery.
