Harlan Blair, 81, Dies Saturday Rites Held Monday at West Van Lear

Harlan Blair, 81, died Saturday at his home at west Van Lear
following a two-week illness.

Born August 6, 1875, he was the son of the late J. B. and Mary
Watkins Blair.

A retired farmer, he had been a resident of West Van Lear for 30
years.

His wife, Mary Frances Blair, preceded him in death September 23,
1941.

Surviving are three sons, Kelly Blair of Dayton, Ohio, and Willard
and Morris Blair, both of West Van Lear, one daughter, Cynthia
Blair of West Van Lear, one sister, Mrs. Dorothy Bailey of
Indianapolis, Ind., and two brothers, Ross and Oscar Blair, both
of West Virginia.

Services were conducted at 11 a.m. Monday from the Cedar Grove
United Baptist Church at West Van Lear with John Crum and John
Pelphrey as officiating ministers.

Burial was made in the Cumbo cemetery at West Van Lear.
