Mrs. Audrey Kelsey Blanton, 70, died Tuesday, February 15, in the U. K.
Medical Center in Lexington after a brief illness.

Mrs. Blanton was born June 14, 1906, in Johnson County, the daughter of Able
and Louise Rice Caudill.

She was a resident of Oil Springs and had been a member of the United
Baptist Church since January 14, 1922.

Surviving are her husband, John McKinley Blanton; two sons, Charles Kelsey
and Bobbie Kelsey, both of Oil Springs; three daughters, Jo Prater of
Shelby, OH, Marion Schultz of Oxon Hill, MD, and Jane Salyer, of Oil
Springs; a brother and sister, James Caudill of Stanton and Mrs. Josie Reed
of Oil Springs; 11 grandchildren and seven stepdaughters.

Funeral services were held Friday, February 18, in the Caudill Fork United
Baptist church at Oil Springs with James H. Blair, Kenneth Trimble and John
R. Pelphrey as officiating ministers.

Burial was in the Price Cemetery at Oil Springs with Paintsville Funeral
Home handling arrangements.
