MITCHELL BLANTON
1927-2008

Funeral services were held Thursday, Nov. 13, 1 p.m. at the Phelps & Son
Funeral Home Chapel for Mitchell Blanton, 81, of Staffordsville, Ky., who
passed away Tuesday, Nov. 11 at the Veterans Administrations Hospital In
Lexington, Ky.

Mr. Blanton was born Jan. 24, 1927 in Johnson County, Ky., son of the late
Herbert Blanton and Mintie Blair.

Surviving are his wife, Frances Hamilton Blanton of Staffordsville; one
son, Gary Dean Blanton; one daughter, Sandra Joan Roberts; one brother, Von
Blanton, all of Staffordsville; and three grandchildren.

The service was officiated by Larry Smith, with burial in the Johnson
County Memorial Cemetery.

Arrangements under the direction of the Phelps & Son Funeral Home of
Paintsville, Ky.
