WALTER BOGGS
1925-1994
Walter Boggs, 68, died Friday, January 28 at Highlands Regional Medical
Center.
Mr. Boggs was born June 17, 1925, in Floyd County, the son of the late Bert
and Nora Short Boggs. He was retired and a veteran of the U. S. Army.
Surviving are his wife, Alka Delong Boggs; six sons, Larry, Walter, Jr., and
Bert, all of Flat Gap, Rickey and Jerry, both of River and Roger of
Cincinnati, OH; two daughters, Debra Pennington of Jennys Creek and Oragon
McCoy of Prestonsburg; one brother, Ottis Boggs of Warsaw, IN; two sisters,
Louisa Dingus of Ashland and Lucille Stambaugh of Warsaw; and 11
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 31 at Jones-Preston Funeral
Chapel with Harry Neal Frisbee officiating.
Burial was in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery at Staffordsville.
