COVA CANTRELL
1912-1987
  
West Van Lear resident, Cova Cantrell, 75, died Saturday, October 24,
in Dayton, Ohio.  Mrs. Cantrell was born October 20, 1912 in Johnson
County, the daughter of Elmer and Flora McKenzie Jones.
  
Her husband, Walter Cantrell preceded her in death in June, 1978.
  
Surviving are two sons, Walter Cantrell, Jr., of Springfield, Ohio
and Larry Cantrell, of Dayton; four daughters, Betty Letuli, of
Cincinnati, Ohio, Jewell Lee, of Dayton,  Frances Collinsworth of
Enon, Ohio, and Frieda Bolin, of Springfield; one brother, Ova Jones
of Hager Hill; three sisters, Emma Shell, of Springfrield, Dolores
Varner and Virginia Salyers, both of Flint, Michigan; and 12
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
  
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, October 28, at 1:00
p.m., in Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel, with Tobe Wheeler and
Emery Blevins officiating.
  
Burial will be in the family cemetery at West Van Lear.
