JACK C. CASTLE 1910-2007 JOHNSON COUNTY Jack C. Castle, 96, of Paintsville, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007 at Highlands Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg. Born Nov. 26, 1910, at Paintsville, he was a son of the late Lewis and Burbridge Brown Castle. He was owner of Jack's TV service and a WW II Army veteran. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lida Turner Castle, in 2001; and three sisters, Ruth Lyons, Lillie Butcher and Dorothy Auxier. Survivors include his first wife, Lorraine Stambaugh Stapleton of Paintsville; a daughter, Jeanne Spurlock of Prestonsburg; a step-daughter, Pat Stinson of Springfield, Ohio; two step-sons, Carl Thomas "Bud" Williams of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Roger Williams of Meally; three grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; 17 step- great-grandchildren; and seven step-great-great-grandchildren. Graveside funeral services were Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Johnson County Memorial Cemetery, Lake Road, Staffordsville with Rev. Larry O'Bryan officiating. Military graveside services were conducted by DAV Chapter 15 of Salyersville. Burial was in Johnson County Memorial, Staffordsville, under direction of Paintsville Funeral Home, Paintsville.
