JAMES O. CASTLE
1922-1969
 
James Castle, 47, died Wednesday, May 7, in the Veterans Hospital at
Cincinnati, OH after a brief illness.
 
Born in Johnson County, on January 2, 1922, he was the son of the
late Chilt and Belle Curtis Castle and was a resident of Columbus, OH
at the time of his death.
 
Survivors include his wife, Geneva Sturgill Castle, whom he married
on December 3, 1938; five sons, Charles of Raymond, OH, James D. of
Seattle, WV, Billy, Doyle and Donnie Ray, all of Columbus, OH; five
daughters, patty Rayan, Sharlette Gilpin, Libby Castle and Debbie
Castle, all of Columbus, OH and Mary Ellen Mesler of the Panama Canal
Zone. Additional survivors include three grandchildren; five
brothers, Jayole Castle of Staffordsville, John Castle of Red Bush,
Wayne Castle of Catlettsburg, Lundy Castle of Brady Wine, MD and Ray
Castle of Jacksonville, FL; and three sisters, Martha King of Van
Lear, Golda Castle of Thealka and Mary Mabry of Ault.
  
Funeral services were conducted on Friday, May 9 in the Barnetts
Creek United Baptist Church with Arnold Reed and F. F. Rigsby the
officiating ministers.
 
Interment followed in the Salyer Cemetery at Barnetts Creek under the
direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home.
