CHESTER COLLINS
1920-1994
Retired mechanic, Chester Collins, 74, died Friday, December 9 at Highlands
Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Collins was born July 26, 1920, in Floyd County, the son of the late
Will and Mollie Spencer Collins. He was a veteran of the Army.
Surviving are his wife, Jewell Blair Collins; one daughter, Carolyn
Somerville of Paintsville; four brothers, Earl and James Collins, both of
Little Paint, Curtis Collins of Ohio and Charlie Collins of Nippa; one
sister, Goldie Blair of Ohio; and one grandchild and three great
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 12 at Jones-Preston Funeral Home
Chapel, with Richard Williams and Dick VanHoose officiating.
Burial was in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery at Staffordsville.
