Haskell “Hack” Collins, 91, of Van Lear died Monday, June 13, at Thomson
Hood Veterans Center.

Born June 21, 1919, in Johnson County, he was the son of the late Wallace
and Alley Spriggs Collins. He was a World War II military veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Elkins Collins; a son, Ray Griffith of
Morehead; a daughter, Tonna Dawson of Van Lear; two grandchildren; seven
great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Thursday, June 16, at Phelps and Son Funeral Home
Chapel. Burial was in Johnson County Cemetery, Staffordsville, under
direction of Phelps amd Son Funeral Home, Paintsville.
