MARY DANIEL
1907-1993
Retired cashier, Mary Dutton Daniel, 86, died Thursday, April 22, at her
Hager Hill residence.
Mrs. Daniel was born January 9, 1907, in Johnson County, a daughter of the
late Ben and Cynthia Perry Dutton. She was a retired cashier at Gackenheimer
Drugstore and a member of Little Friendship United Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lafe Daniel, in June 1969,
one son, Jackie, an done daughter, Sarah.
Surviving are 7 sons, Clifford Daniel, Josh Daniel and John Daniel, all of
Hager Hill, Lase Eugene Daniel of Lawrence County, Bennie Daniel of Urbana,
IN, Charles Daniel of Wabash, IN and Paul David Daniel of Servia, IN; four
daughters, Virginia Slone of Yellow Springs, OH, Callie Johnson of Hager
Hill, Matilda Hughes of Xenia, OH and Kathleen Allen of Lexington; 38
grandchildren; 58 great grandchildren; and three great- great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, April 28 in Toms Creek Freewill Baptist
Church with Allen Puckett, Ronald Lane and Terry Lykens officiating.
Burial was in Johnson County Memorial at Staffordsville with Preston Funeral
Home in charge of arrangements.
