JIMMIE DAVIS
1908-1985

J. M. Scott officiated at services Feb 24 for Jimmie Davis, 76. Mr. Davis
died in Highlands Medical Center Feb 22. He was born Dec 24, 1908 in Johnson
County, the son of James M. and Trin Arrowood Davis. A resident of Meally,
he was a retired miner and a member of the Church of Christ.

Surviving are his wife, Garnet Daniels Davis, who he married Dec 23, 1929; a
son, Jim Davis of Columbus, OH; two daughter, Lois Hofer of Meally and Joyce
Shields of Columbus, OH; two brothers, Bruce Davis of Meally and George
Davis of Paintsville; a sister, Nancy Johnson of Prestonsburg; 11
grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Feb 24 in Preston Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial was in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville, KY.
