VIRGIL DUTTON
1919-1983

Virgil Dutton, 63, died April 24 in Louisa Humana Hospital. Mr. Dutton was
born October 16, 1919 in Johnson County, the son of Ben and Cynthia Perry
Dutton.

He was a resident of Paintsville, an employee of the Kentucky Department of
Highways, a member of Pigeon Freewill Baptist Church and Paintsville Lodge
No. 381 F & AM.

Surviving are his wife, Leora Jewell Cantrell Dutton, who he married April
3, 1946; a son, Virgil Leslie “Butch” Dutton of Stambaugh; a daughter, Anna
Jane Beam, Portsmouth, OH; and a sister, Mary Daniel, Wabash, IN.

Funeral services were held April 27 in Pigeon Freewill Baptist Church with
Charles Stapleton and Henry Skaggs officiating.

Burial was in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville, under the
direction of the Preston Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Johnnie
Daniel, Bill Williams, Bert Williams, Doug Murphy, Joshua Daniel and Eugene
Daniel.

Honorary pallbearers were Clifford Daniel, Kenny Daniel and Charles Daniel.
