EUGENE FRAZIER
1923-1994
Paintsville resident, Eugene Frazier, 70, died Saturday, January 29 at his
residence.
Mr. Frazier was born August 7, 1923 in Johnson County, the son of the late
Stephen and Emma Williams Frazier. He was a retired educator, past assistant
superintendent and superintendent of Paintsville City Schools and was a
veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Helen Castle Frazier; one son, David Frazier of
Danville; one daughter, Karen Adkins of Paintsville; three brothers, Stephen
and James Frazier, both of Dayton, OH and Cecil Frazier of Paintsville, four
sisters, Ruby Marcum of Paintsville, Verda Gore and Fannie Hood, both of
Ashland, KY, Kay Denning of Dayton and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 31 at First Baptist Church,
Paintsville, with Rev. Drew Martin officiating.
Burial was in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery at Staffordsville, with
Jones-Preston Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
