KATHLEEN HARRIS
1927-1995
Jones-Preston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Kathleen
E. Harris, 67, who died Friday, March 10 at Paul B. Hall Regional
Medical Center.
Mrs. Harris was born June 23, 1927, in Wilson, OK, the daughter of
the late John C. Wade and Myrtle Blodgett. She was a member of Van
Lear Freewill Baptist Church and a former Johnson County Mother of
the Year.
Also preceding her in death was a son, Douglas Harris.
Surviving are her husband, Elmer Harris; two sons, James Allen Harris
of West Van Lear and David Lee Harris of Anchorage, Alaska; five
daughters, Linda Mae Mullins of West Van Lear, Patricia Lafferty of
Meally, Sandra Jean Roberts of Pikeville, Diana Sue Montgomery of
Lexington, and Mary Elizabeth Banks of Van Lear; her mother-in- law,
Lila Mae Harris; and 13 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 13 at Jones-Preston Funeral
Home Chapel, with Manford Fannin officiating.
Burial was in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery at Staffordsville.
