SERVICES AT MANILA FOR PROMINENT MAN

Funeral services will be conducted at the home Friday, January 19, at
10:00 a. m., for Caleb Hitchcock. 74, prominent Johnson, Countian,
who died Wednesday morning, January 17, at his home at Manila after a
two year illness.

A native of the county, he was born February 23, 1876, the son of the
late Nimrod and Mary Frances Bayes Hitchcock.

A leader in community affairs and church activities, he had been a
member of the missionary Baptist Church for over forty years.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Abigal Brown Hitchcock; one daughter,
Mrs. Charles Picklesimer, Volga; two sons, Taulbee Hitchcock, Manila,
Verlie Hitchcock, Milford Center, Ohio.

Services at the home will be conducted by Rev. Roy A. Hamilton,
pastor of the First Baptist Church of this city.

Burial will be in the family cemetery at Manila under the direction
of the Jones Funeral Home.
