MAYMIE HITCHCOCK
1897-1988
Former Johnson County resident, Maymie Rice Hitchcock, 90, died Friday,
January 8, in South Point, OH.
Mrs. Hitchcock was born November 21, 1897 in Johnson County, the daughter of
Wilson Rice and Sarah Auxier. Her husband, Challie Hitchcock, preceded her
in death in 1950.
Surviving are one son, James Hitchcock, of South Point; six sisters, and two
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, January 10, with John Pelphrey and James
K. Caudill officiating.
Burial was in Johnson County Memorial at Staffordsville with Jones-Preston
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
