Pneumonia Takes Barn Rock Resident

Powell King, 75, Barn Rock died at his home at 8:30 a.m. October 27,
1950, as the result of a three-weeks illness with pneumonia.

He was born in Johnson County September 25, 1875, and was the son of
Mr. and Mrs. William King. A farmer by occupation, he was a member
of the Freewill Baptist Church.

Surviving besides his wife, Martha King, are four sons and two
daughters; Addie and I___ King, of Columbus, Ohio; Lloyd and Johnnie
King of Hilliard, Ohio; Mrs. Charlie Curtis, Chillicothe, Ohio; and
Mrs. Alonza Lemasters of Barn Rock. Also surviving are three
brothers; Jim King, Van Lear; Henry King, Fuget; and Bascom King,
Elna.

Funeral rites were held at 10:00 a. m., October 28, 1950 at his home
in Barn Rock with the Rev. T. J. Bailey officiating.

Burial followed in the Amos Cemetery at Elna.
